Jennifer Judin and Todd Suddleson Secure Defense Verdict in Toxic Tort Case

In February 2004, partners Jennifer Judin and Todd Suddleson tried the case of Richard Keefe in Tarrant County, Texas on behalf of Kaiser Gypsum and CertainTeed . Mr. Keefe was a confirmed mesothelioma plaintiff who testified live at trial. He contended that he was exposed to asbestos through helping his mother launder his father's clothing. A co-worker of his father testified that Mr. Keefe's father worked in the vicinity of where other workers were cutting CertainTeed asbestos cement pipe and that the dust would get on the father's clothing. Plaintiff also claimed his father was exposed to Kaiser Gypsum joint compound. The jury returned a defense verdict.
