John Ruff joined DeHay & Elliston, L.L.P. as an Associate in 2009. Mr. Ruff practices civil litigation in the areas of products liability and toxic tort with an emphasis on asbestos personal injury defense. Mr. Ruff serves as both as both local counsel and national counsel for a wide variety of different product manufacturers. As national counsel, Mr. Ruff has supervised all aspects of trial preparation for numerous cases throughout the country. John graduated with High Honors from Rutgers University in 2005 receiving a B.A. in both History and Political Science. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2008, graduating Magna Cum Laude and earned the honor of the Heuisler Honor Society.
Prior to joining DE, Mr. Ruff had the privilege of serving as the Bill Analyst for the Maryland House Judiciary Committee under Chairman Joseph F. Vallario, Jr. Prior, he served as a Law Clerk at Cohen, Snyder, Eisenberg and Katzenberg, P.A., a personal injury and workers compensation firm in Baltimore, Maryland.
Mr. Ruff is an active member of the Bar Association of Baltimore City, the Maryland State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
