Biography

Kurt Greve joined the Dallas office of DeHay & Elliston, L.L.P. in May 2010 and is a Partner with the firm. Mr. Greve practices civil litigation.  Areas of focus for Mr. Greve’s practice include business litigation, professional negligence,  toxic tort and products liability litigation.  Mr. Greve also specializes in matters involving medical malpractice and defective pharmaceutical products. He has maintained both national and statewide litigation responsibilities for numerous clients in a broad spectrum of cases that have involved business damages in excess of seven figures as well as catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims.

 Mr. Greve has significant experience in the managing of complex civil litigation and has managed an extensive trial docket throughout Texas. Significant matters handled by Mr. Greve include:

  • Lead attorney for retail hardware chain in federal lawsuit alleging patent infringement which resulted in dismissal of claims.
  • Represented national talc mining company in all phases of litigation which involved claims of wrongful death.
  • Lead attorney in product liability action involving defective pharmaceutical products.
  • Lead attorney for distributor of housing products in dispute with vendor over unpaid commissions.  Coordinated removal of state court action to federal court and interlocutory appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit as a result of the trial court’s refusal to stay proceeding.
  • Represented real estate development group in state court for claims arising from breach of contract incident to the sale of high-rise commercial office building.
  • Lead attorney for property owner in dispute with internet host provider regarding unauthorized access to telecommunication and interconnection network within the premises.
  • Represented commercial property owner before the local zoning and planning boards regarding compliance with local ordinances and master plan for redevelopment.
  • Developed and implemented national deposition strategy for toxic tort client.
  • Developed experts for use at trial in premises, medical malpractice and product liability matters.
  • Lead attorney responsible for developing litigation strategy challenging causation evidence with resulting in the dismissal of over 400 claims involving an emerging toxic tort.
  • Represented retail chain in state court action where claims of malicious prosecution were disposed of by summary judgment.
  • Lead attorney for national retail pharmacy chain arguing application Civil Practice & Remedies Code Chapter 74 and healthcare provider status to pharmacy at trial and appellate court.
  • Acted as lead settlement negotiator for claims that exceeded seven figures.


 In 1994, Mr. Greve received his B.A. from the University of Texas at Arlington. In 1998, he graduated from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar that same year. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Greve practiced law at Forman, Perry, Watkins, Krutz and Tardy as well as Stinnett, Thiebaud and Remington.

Mr. Greve has also achieved the rank of black belt in judo and currently serves as an officer for Texas Judo, Inc. and  as a board member for the Fort Worth Judo Club.
