Gena Corona earned her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2023, with a focus on litigation, trial practice, mediation, and applied evidence. During law school, she served on the board of the Women’s Law Association and gained significant courtroom experience as a certified law clerk for four semesters. She further developed her defense skills in fast-paced litigation settings, including defending a premises owner in a negligence action, where she refined her trial advocacy and evidence skills under the mentorship of two ABOTA attorneys. Gena also worked at the Santa Clara Superior Court with the Honorable Cynthia A. Sevely, conducting legal research on complex issues such as the admissibility of third-party recordings, background checks in domestic violence cases, asset freezing via search warrants, and modifications of criminal protective orders.

As a Graduate Law Clerk with the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, Gena sharpened her trial advocacy and courtroom skills across the Juvenile, Preliminary Hearings, and Trial divisions. In the Juvenile Division, she handled detention hearings, balancing legal outcomes with the unique needs of minors. In Preliminary Hearings, she worked on felony cases, gaining hands-on experience in legal analysis and courtroom procedures. She also participated in a rigorous trial advocacy program, receiving valuable feedback from seasoned prosecutors, and second-chaired multiple trials, including domestic violence, felony assault, and misdemeanor vandalism cases.

Today, Gena focuses her practice on defending clients in complex toxic tort litigation. She is committed to providing strategic, well-prepared defenses and upholding her clients' rights with professionalism and dedication.

Gena is licensed to practice in California.
