Biography
Scott J. McDowell focuses his practice on defending companies in complex, high-exposure toxic tort actions. Scott has extensive experience in litigation, including taking lead on depositions involving claims of mesothelioma. Scott also has experience handling complex commercial litigation. He has also represented numerous financial institutions in contested foreclosure and title matters throughout the state of Maryland. Notably, he successfully defended against motions brought by title insurers seeking declaratory relief against financial institutions.
